01 / The Department

Your Store's Accessibility Department.

We own your Store's Accessibility from the inside. The Store is audited against WCAG 2.2 AA with a real screen reader, every barrier is fixed in your theme, and Monitoring keeps it that way all year. Your team never has to touch it.

02 / The Problem · One problem · Two faces

The Shoppers you're losing don't complain. They just leave.

Shoppers shut out

Roughly 1 in 4 US adults lives with a disability. One of them is on your Store right now, ready to buy, then hits a wall: an image the screen reader skips, a menu the keyboard can't open, a size they can't choose without a mouse. They wanted in, the Store kept them out, and they don't write to tell you. The sale just doesn't happen, and the reason never reaches you.

Legal exposure

Those same barriers are what ADA web lawsuits cite, and they keep landing on Shopify Stores big enough to be screened, with no one inside watching Accessibility. The Shoppers shut out and the legal exposure are one problem with two faces.

You can't see these barriers. Your Shoppers can't get past them. We haven't audited a Store yet that didn't have them.

03 / The work · Four parts · Six steps · One chain

The work, start to finish.

Four parts, delivered and owned by us as one. The work, done and kept done.

01

Audit

We test your Store the way disabled Shoppers actually use it: screen readers, keyboard only, and mobile, page type by page type, by hand. Not a scanner. The barriers that block a real sale only show up to a human using the real tools.

02

Remediation

We fix what we find, inside your theme, with no downtime and without your Developers. We work on a copy and publish in one reversible step. Fix a template once, every page of that type is fixed.

03

Accessibility Statement

A formal, dated declaration of conformance, yours to publish anywhere. A public sign of good faith, the opposite of an overlay that claims all is well with nothing underneath.

04

Monitoring

A Store is a living thing. Themes update, apps come and go, pages change with the season. Work that was proven in March can quietly come undone by June, and nobody notices, because the Store still looks right. We recheck and fix regressions within a set window, so your compliance stays true, and so does your Statement.

The run of work

Six steps. Every barrier found, fixed, proven, and kept.

01 Audit We find the barriers, the way real users hit them.
02 Fix We correct them in your theme. No downtime, no Developer of yours.
03 Re-Audit We prove each one is closed, before and after, side by side.
04 Accessibility Statement A formal, dated declaration with a contact channel, ready for your site and your Counsel.
05 Dossier Everything in one proof: for you, your Counsel, and, if it comes to it, the court.
06 Monitoring We watch all year and fix what drifts.

Every step leaves proof.

04 / The doctrine · One chain · Not a vendor

A piece on its own exposes you.

This isn't a packaging rule, it's how the problem works. On its own, each part still locks people out, and leaves you worse off than before:

Audit alone is a PDF in a drawer, it finds the barriers and fixes none.
Remediation without an Audit fixes what someone happened to notice, and misses what a screen reader actually hits.
A Statement without real fixes is a public claim your own Store contradicts, and plaintiff firms do check.
Monitoring without fixes is a log of barriers nobody closed.

The lever

A documented Audit you don't fully fix becomes written proof that you knew and didn't act. The pieces aren't half protection, they're exposure.

A vendor vs a Department

The difference shows up months after the invoice.

A vendor

Runs a project, hands you the report, sends the invoice. The engagement ends there, and so does the attention.

A Department

Works inside your Store with scoped access, all year round. When a theme update in March quietly breaks a fix from January, that's ours to catch and close, without being asked.

A Department doesn't go out to tender, nobody asks for three quotes for their own finance team, and it takes the work off your Developers for good. The annual Monitoring is what makes it real.

This is how we work and what we own, not a change to who's legally responsible. We're your Accessibility function, run by us as outside specialists.

An Accessibility widget is the same trap in one line of code: it never touches the road underneath, it just hangs a "solved" sign the other side reads as bad faith.

We fix the road. We don't paint the sign.

05 / Proof · Tern & Oak · Demo Store · WCAG 2.2 AA · Dated

Our own Store is the exhibit.

We're new, and we'd rather prove it than claim it. Instead of testimonials you can't check, we show our own Shopify Store: audited, fixed, and documented, the same way yours would be.

The work, in the open

Every barrier we found, the fix, and the before and after that proves it closed. Plus the Dossier we'd hand your Counsel, assembled in front of you.

The only proof we show

Real Client Dossiers stay private: they map a Store’s weak points and legal exposure, and protecting that is the job. So our own Store is the showcase, and it counts the same at fifty Clients as at one. No borrowed logos, no "trusted by" wall, no testimonials we wrote ourselves.

Total, year one$10,000

The whole chain, owned by us.

After year one, the Department renews annually: a fresh Audit, Monitoring, and your Statement revalidated with a fresh date. Annual, not monthly, because that's what lets us stand behind the work over time.

Most of this market ends at a report on your desk. The real cost lives in the fixing, and the fixing is what this price includes, finished inside thirty days and watched for the rest of the year.

No checkout on this page. We present the Solution; you decide.

08 / Questions

Questions

Q.01Already facing an ADA claim?

Then you're exactly who the Dossier was built for. Your Counsel handles the claim; we close the barriers behind it: the full Audit, every fix done and proven, the Statement, and a year of Monitoring, all documented so your Counsel can put it to work. Before you decide anything, judge us on the work: the proof above is public, and on a call we walk you and your Counsel through the Demo Store and the sample Dossier in full.

Q.02How long does it take?

Thirty days, door to door. The clock starts the day payment lands and collaborator access opens, and it ends with the complete Dossier in your hands: Audit, Remediation, Statement, and Monitoring already running. No discovery phase, no proposal rounds.

Q.03Do you need our Developers?

No. We work inside your theme ourselves, on a copy, and publish in one reversible step. Your Developers stay on their roadmap.

Q.04Does this work with a custom theme and apps?

Yes. We work inside your theme as it is: stock, customized or fully custom, always inside a copy of your theme first, so going live is safe and undoable. Apps are part of your storefront, so they are part of the Audit: your Shopper doesn't care where a barrier came from. Anything we can't fix directly, like a platform component or the inside of an app, gets documented and scoped in your Statement instead of ignored.

Q.05How do you get access?

A scoped Shopify collaborator invite, limited to the theme. We're not staff, it doesn't count against your plan, and it's revocable anytime. We send a simple one click guide.

Q.06What does Monitoring cover?

Ongoing checks, fixing regressions of what we delivered within a set window, and keeping your Statement true. Big changes you make later, a new theme or whole new page types, are a separate Audit, and we tell you that upfront.

Q.07Why annual, not monthly?

Because standing behind the work over time needs continuity. Annual is what lets us guarantee it and keep it maintained, and every renewal opens with a fresh Audit, so your Statement never goes stale.

Q.08How does payment work?

One flat price for year one, paid up front. That payment is what starts the clock on the thirty days, so there's no gap between signing and work. We invoice in USD and take ACH to US account details, no card, no wire, and the paperwork your finance team will ask for is ready on day one.

Q.09What about the checkout?

We own the whole storefront: home, product pages, cart, collections, menus, forms. The checkout itself is Shopify's platform, maintained by Shopify and the same for every Store on your plan. ADA cases hit the storefront we control.

Q.10Will you guarantee we won't be sued?

No, and be wary of anyone who does. We guarantee the technical work: audited against WCAG 2.2 AA with real assistive technology, every barrier we find closed, with the before and after in your Dossier.

Q.11Isn't an Accessibility widget cheaper?

A widget is the false shortcut. It claims compliance without doing the work, and that claim is what gets read as bad faith.
